This Summer, Outdoor Manufacturing Is in Full Swing
Outdoor living structures, pergolas, tensile structures and sliding systems are among the fastest-growing segments in the construction market.
The Voilàp Group supports the entire production chain, from aluminium profile machining to glass processing. For manufacturers operating in this sector, summer is not a slow season—it is the busiest production period, and it all starts with precision profile machining.
Pergolas and Outdoor Structures
For the production of pergolas and outdoor living structures, Emmegi’s +Quadra machining centre is the ideal solution. Its 360° rotating worktable enables machining on every face of the aluminium profile in a single setup.
When projects become more complex, Emmegi’s Satellite XTE and Satellite XLE moving-gantry machining centres deliver the performance required. Equipped with electrospindles up to 15 kW and capable of machining directly from raw bar stock, they reduce material waste while minimizing handling operations.
For tensile structures, where larger profile sections and tighter tolerances demand maximum precision, elumatec’s SBZ 145 guarantees outstanding machining quality on large aluminium profiles.
Across every application, automated cycle management optimizes production times, minimizes machine downtime and reduces material waste.
From Aluminium Profiles to Glass – A Complete Ecosystem
Outdoor structures are not made of aluminium alone. At their core is always a transparent enclosure, where Keraglass and Mappi—two Voilàp Group companies specializing in glass processing technologies—cover the entire manufacturing process, from tempering to lamination.
The Vision and ATS tempering furnaces comply with Industry 4.0 standards and are designed to produce the high-strength tempered glass required for outdoor applications.
For laminated glass production, the Combi, Lamix and LammiFlex furnaces process both flat and curved glass—including canopies for tensile structures and curved architectural elements—as well as glass combined with marble or ceramic materials.
For high-volume production, the fully automatic Deluxe lamination line processes glass sheets up to jumbo size, making it the ideal solution for curtain walls, façades and large-scale overhead glazing.
Outdoor Production: Beyond the Concept of Seasonality
The market for outdoor living structures has experienced remarkable growth in recent years, driven by a lasting demand for expanding residential and commercial spaces. Today, the sector continues to evolve on increasingly mature and quality-driven foundations.
With its companies and brands, the Voilàp Group provides manufacturers with the technologies they need to remain competitive: precise and reliable machines, machining centres that combine flexibility, automation and consistent performance across every outdoor application.
