our initiatives

green steel

From 1st June 2024, Imecon, a Voilàp group company focused on smart solutions for digital signage, started to purchase certified Zero Net Scope 1 & 2 CO2 green steel for its products from our partner Arvedi.
In particular, the steel purchased by Imecon guarantees a reduction of the Scope 1 + Scope 2 carbon intensity from 2.100 kg CO2 to 133 kg CO2 thanks to the use of i) electric arc furnace, ii) ESP (Endless Strip Production) technology for optimisation of production process, iii) 80% post-consumer scrap, iv) 100% energy from certified renewable sources.
The remaining 133kg CO2 are offset through certified carbon credits to finance reforestation projects.

vegetal oil

From September 2023, Voilàp replaced the CSF35 cooling cutting oil with a new, vegetal, atoxic and biodegradable version (the NLO-01). This type of oil guarantees the same cutting performance of the machines but generating a lower environmental impact; moreover, it leaves minimal product residue after machining, facilitates and reduces the cleaning time of the finished part and is transparent & odourless.
This solution has been implemented for Emmegi & Tekna products but will be progressively extended to the other group production companies.

sustainable procurement tools

To carry on integration path of sustainability criteria into the procurement processes, Voilàp put in place the following actions:
‣ a Steering Committee at group level to address sustainable procurement strategies
Sustainable Procurement Guidelines to evaluate materials, components, services and, more generally, suppliers, also based on sustainability attributes
ESG Scoring Tool providing a score based on their ESG maturity, through a survey to evaluate suppliers’ sustainability performance

green aluminium

Voilàp signed a partnership with the supplier Hydro Extrusion Italy, a leading manufacturer of highly complex extruded aluminium profiles and pioneer in the field of sustainability. In particular, Hydro will supply aluminium from a billet that, thanks to a high amount of pre- and post-consumer recycled material and process innovations, generates an impact of 5.66 kgCO2eq / kg Al, 3 times lower than the global average, supporting Voilàp in its path towards the reduction of products’ carbon footprint. The first phase, started in October 2024, involved the replacement with recycled aluminium of Emmegi’s supply.
