ISO 14067 – product Carbon Footprint
Measure to improve. In 2025, Voilàp obtained ISO 14067 certification for the Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) of 3 of its most iconic machines: the elumatec SBZ 145, the Emmegi Satellite XTE and Satellite XLE. Each certificate provides full transparency on the greenhouse gas emissions generated throughout the entire product life cycle (“cradle to grave”) – from raw material to disposal.
Benefits for customers:
‣ Certified environmental data to support their ESG assessments;
‣ A data-driven approach to sustainability to identify the levers for reducing impact;
‣ Full transparency on the carbon footprint: from factory to end of life;
‣ Concrete support for customers’ decarbonisation pathways;
‣ Continuous improvement, in line with the Group’s ESG roadmap.
CO₂ emissions along the life cycle (“cradle to grave”)
‣ elumatec SBZ 145: 195,000 kg CO₂e;
‣ Emmegi Satellite XLE: 186,000 kg CO₂e;
‣ Emmegi Satellite XTE: 246,000 kg CO₂e.
These values represent the baseline from which the Group builds its reduction actions.
INDUSTRY 5.0 READY
Voilàp machines are designed to support customers on their path towards Industry 5.0, where technological innovation, sustainability and economic efficiency truly come together.
In 2025, the Group developed an energy consumption matrix based on standardised tests with MID-certified instruments, following the ISO 14955 standard.
The data speak for themselves: Satellite XLE at 99.6 Wh/piece, SBZ 145 at 126 Wh/piece, Satellite XTE at 166.3 Wh/piece, +Quadra L2 at 169.7 Wh/piece. Compared to the average of the machines with the highest consumption values in the matrix (353.03 Wh/piece), savings reach up to 71.8%.
Not only production efficiency: since 1 January 2025, Emmegi orders connected to the incentives of the Industry 5.0 Plan have already generated more than 12 million euros in turnover. For approximately 70% of buyers, the 5.0 incentives played a decisive role in the decision. Voilàp supports customers at every stage: from consumption measurement to the enhancement of investments, integrating LCA, PCF according to ISO 14067 and evolution towards EPD.
“Emilia Sostenibile” Award
Innovation and sustainability, rewarded. At the second edition of “Emilia Sostenibile”, promoted by UCID Bologna with Confindustria Emilia Area Centro and Bologna Business School, Voilàp received the award in the “Sustainable product innovation” category for the elumatec SBZ 145 machining centre.
A machine designed with concrete attention to the environment and the operator:
‣ oil-free tools and highly energy-efficient blades, with benefits in terms of environmental impact and recyclability of aluminium chips;
‣ Advanced fume extraction system for oil recovery and the reintroduction of purified air into the production environment;
‣ Integration with the Voilàp Connect IoT platform, for real-time monitoring of energy consumption and emissions, supporting predictive maintenance and Net Zero objectives;
‣ Ergonomic design conceived for safety, comfort and operator centrality.
An award that confirms the Group’s direction: advanced technology serving a smarter, more human and more sustainable industry.
voilàp connect
In 2024, Voilàp Connect was released, a cloud-based IoT platform that allows monitoring machines from anywhere in real time.
Voilàp Connect allows improving machine performance (monitoring consumption, status and production load of machines), distributing production across connected machines (detecting critical machine downtime periods and identifying causes that negatively impact productivity), analyzing machine components in detail and supporting ESG practices (reducing consumption and waste). Based on the key user, the product has a dedicated platform, which allows achieving the following objectives:
‣ Customer (machine owners, plant managers, operators): real-time and historical monitoring of machines, plant overview, machine efficiency KPIs, production order progress, energy consumption measurement per machine/order/piece
‣ Manufacturers (after-sales, research and development): support for remote maintenance and assistance, alarm monitoring and event analysis, data collection for research and development purposes, monitoring of customer machine health and performance status and common components.
Voilàp Connect is the maximum expression of the Voilàp digital experience applied to our machines thanks to the continuous collaboration between group companies.
integration of sustainability in voilap stores
The Voilàp group has undertaken the following initiatives to push the integration of sustainability into the digital store concept and customer experience:
‣ Enrichment of the online questionnaire in the purchase phase to incorporate and improve product sustainability attributes.
‣ Introduction of two sustainability indicators for energy saving and sustainable materials, based on thermal transmittance, percentage of recycled/recyclable material and availability of product/material certifications.
‣ Purchase of 100% renewable and certified energy to power Milan and Bologna stores
‣ Cloud-based digital signature solution and multilingual to manage all Voilàp Home transactions

refurbished imecon products
Imecon, a Voilàp group company specialized in intelligent digital signage solutions, offers various customers the possibility to upgrade already installed and functioning products, following scheduled maintenance, while guaranteeing full product functionality. This solution extends the product life cycle, allows customers to better plan financial outlays and reduces environmental impact. In particular, the Product Carbon Footprint ("PCF") calculation carried out in 2024 on Imecon products through the Life Cycle Assessment ("LCA") method revealed that the Carbon Footprint of totems is 3.79 tonnes of CO2 per piece (average per model), while that of ribbons is 0.94 tonnes of CO2 per piece (average per model).
